Youth in Harmony (YIH) is a program to expose our youth to acappella four part harmony called barbershop music. Many high school music departments are being cut in budgets and are unable to keep up with different styles of music. Barbershop music is only one of two original types of music native to America, jazz being the other.

For the past 5 years, the Hastings Chorus of the Plains and the Lincoln Continentals presented area schools the opportunity to participate in a half day Youth In Harmony Festival. These festivals are on the same day at the same time so schools can attend the closest site for their convenience.
